- Gutshot. This means a certain function in poker, when the player is missing only one card in his hand. With it, you will get a straight, while the denomination is unimportant.
- Heads-up. This kind of bet is very rare at the poker table, especially with the initial hand. One-on-one games begin at the final stages of the card competition.
- Implied Pot Odds (possible pot odds). As is clear from the transfer, this is a special relationship between the amount of the pot and the possible winnings. To understand and learn to understand such moments, mathematics alone will not be enough. A combination of mathematical knowledge, intuition and psychology will work here.
- Insulation. The word is used in relation to a situation when an opponent makes a bet to enter a heads-up (heads-up) fight with a specific student at the table.
- Limp means a big enough preflop bet. Its value is equivalent to the big blind.
- Monster is a slightly intimidating name for a really strong combination of cards. It is this hand that wins in priority.
- The nuts don't mean a nut in poker. The term interprets the concept of a more profitable card combination at a certain stage of the game.
- Out. This is the name of the card that is not enough to complete any combination. They also say: "I didn't win because of the strikeout."
- Rainbow is a good name for a natural phenomenon, which in poker is explained by the presence of three or four cards of different suits.
- River. The word is used only in Texas Hold'em to refer to the fifth and final card at the poker table.
- Tilt - This word is used to show the emotional state of the player. It can be aggression caused by a series of losing poker games.
- UTG is an abbreviation that became the name of the first player near the blind on the left side.
